
Dr. Gregory Tsai received an A.B. degree in molecular biology from Princeton University and obtained his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in 1996. He then went on to complete a General Surgery internship and an Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery residency at Mount Sinai Hospital and served as chief resident in his final year. After his residency, he spent seven years in private practice in Great Neck (Long Island), New York.
Dr. Tsai has achieved many academic honors and awards, such as the Triologic Society - Eastern Section First Place Award and Outstanding Basic Science Award, Mount Sinai Hospital. He is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, a fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Teaching has been important to him, and he has instructed medical students and residents from Mount Sinai Hospital, Albert Einstein School of Medicine, and St. Luke's-Roosevelt over the past eleven years.
In 2008, he attended a Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine Course through the Divers Alert Network (DAN). In 2010, he attended the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery meeting in Boston, MA, taking courses in sialoendoscopy and office-based sleep procedures. In 2011, he attended the same meeting in San Francisco, CA, taking courses in balloon sinuplasty, advanced sinus surgery, and operative courses in sleep procedures.
in June 2011, Dr. Tsai served as an instructor at the SLEEP meeting in Minneapolis, MN, teaching the 'Sleep Apnea Examination: A Hands-On Course'.
He is board certified in Sleep Medicine by the American Board of Otolaryngology.
